Our Mission
Unbounded Education was founded by Aglaia Ruffino Jalles, a pedagogue and linguist who believed that learning could be an exciting and transformative adventure that is possible to anyone if done well. She’s always wanted to help people challenge their limitations and rethink their world in new ways.
For years, Aglaia started germinating that little seed of her dream by teaching in public schools, designing projects to teach languages to vulnerable communities, and volunteering as an educator in different community projects.
Unbounded Education was finally born in 2023, when the seed became a robust tree, ready to share of its fruits. Our goal is to offer quality and transformative education to anyone that wishes to challenge themselves and to become a better version of themselves.

Our Approach
In Unbounded Education we see education as a teaching-learning process that unfolds via dialogue, reflection, and meaningful practice. We understand that for learning to occur, the teacher has to maintain an open channel of exchange and trust with the students in order to recognize their interests and needs, thus creating a meaningful experience for each individual.
Each class in Unbounded Education is an opportunity to critically reflect on our world and develop new perspectives that will transform, little by little, the students’ life and, maybe, their community.
REAL Student-Centred classes
Have you ever started a course that was, supposedly, student-centred, but only followed the same textbook over and over again with every single student? Well, let us tell you a secret: that is not student-centred, that is textbook-centred!
In Unbounded Education we design REAL student-centred classes. How? We actually listen to the students and plan each class according to the specificities of each of them.
No lesson is repeated, we always make it different for each individual and/or group!
Open Dialogue
Dialogue is always present in our classes (even if it comes as criticism), so we can keep transforming our teaching for the better!
We won't be teaching you how to talk about sports in X language if you hate sports and if what you really want is to tell jokes in X language!
Starting the first class you will be invited to share your learning objectives, your interests, your passions. You will be heard. With that being said, we will design a course that really strives to help you achieve your goals in meaningful and fun ways for you.

Founder and Director of Education
Meet Aglaia Ruffino Jalles, the dynamic and passionate educator, founder and director of Unbounded Education! From her early days, she had an undeniable love for teaching, even in her childhood turning playtime into pretend classroom sessions (complete with make-believe homework, of course!).
Her philosophy of education is simple yet powerful: learning should be meaningful, fun, and tailored to each student's needs and interests. She sees teaching as a way to push boundaries and encourage her students to perceive the world through a new lens, inspiring them to embrace fresh perspectives.
Her academic journey reflects her dedication to excellence. Graduating first in her class in Education from the prestigious Universidade de São Paulo in Brazil, she then pursued a diverse range of subjects, obtaining a bachelor's in Linguistics with a minor in French Literature and a minor in Political Science from Concordia University in Canada, where she now resides. She is a certified TESOL teacher from Arizona State University, as well as a certified NeuroLanguage Coach from Efficient Language Coaching, and dived into the wonders of Educational Neuroscience through a certification from the International Montessori Institute.
Throughout her career, she has left a lasting impact on countless lives. From designing and teaching intensive language courses for vulnerable communities to dedicating four years to public schools in Brazil, her commitment to education knows no bounds. For the past seven years, she has been empowering language learners and sharing her passion for linguistics through her dedicated tutoring expertise.
With an unshakable belief in the transformative power of education, she's eager to share her knowledge and support communities in need.
Lead Educator
Meet Lara Carreira, the passionate and dedicated Lead Educator who brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team at Unbounded Education.
Lara's unwavering passion for education is at the core of her remarkable academic and professional journey as a teacher. She firmly believes in the transformative power of education and its ability to shape lives positively. This passion ignited at a young age and has been a driving force throughout her teaching career.
With an impressive nine years of experience as a primary school teacher in Brazil, Lara has honed her skills and dedication. Presently, she holds pivotal teaching roles at two primary public schools in Brazil, contributing her expertise to the education systems in the cities of Orlândia and Sales de Oliveira.
Lara earned her Bachelor's degree in Pedagogy from the renowned University of São Paulo - Ribeirão Preto (USP), providing her with a solid foundation in educational theory and practice. Her commitment to fostering meaningful learning experiences is evident in every aspect of her teaching.
To further specialize in her field and ensure she meets the diverse needs of her students, Lara pursued three postgraduate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Inclusive Education, and Literacy. These areas of expertise have equipped her with the skills and insights needed to create inclusive and effective learning environments.
Currently, Lara is working towards a new academic milestone—a Bachelor's degree in Arts, with an expected completion date in 2024. This program not only nurtures her creativity but also underscores her commitment to holistic education, where the arts play a pivotal role in enriching the learning experience.
Lara's diverse educational background, combined with her genuine passion for nurturing the potential in every student, aligns perfectly with the mission and values of our organization. Her dedication to educational excellence, driven by her belief in its transformative potential, makes her a valuable addition to our team.
Linguistics Specialist & English Educator
Meet Grisel Bennett, our accomplished Linguistics Specialist & English Educator at Unbounded Education. Originally hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, Grisel embarked on a transformative journey during his childhood when he relocated to the United States. The diverse experiences in various states exposed him to the profound significance of language, revealing its boundless possibilities and leaving an enduring impression.
In his high school years, Grisel took a daring step by moving to French-speaking Canada, fully immersing himself in the mastery of the French language for a fresh start. Earning the top position in his graduating class, he passionately pursued linguistics at Concordia University. There, he honed his linguistic skills, and upon graduation, he set out on his individual path, driven by his aspirations.
Starting on a distinctive path, Grisel delved deep into the realm of sociolinguistics, focusing particularly on creole languages. His exploration illuminated the intricate interactions of society, circumstances, and cultures, revealing their profound impact on language evolution and the emergence of distinct creole languages. This journey shaped his perspective, fostering a profound appreciation for the intricate tapestry of linguistic diversity.
In addition to his academic pursuits, Grisel earned his TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate, driven by his unwavering passion for learning and languages. This certification aligns with his commitment to imparting knowledge and facilitating language instruction for students from all walks of life.
Grisel firmly believes that the journey of learning a language should be an enjoyable one, opening doors to new opportunities. Particularly, he emphasizes the significance of mastering the English language, often regarded as the global lingua franca. According to Grisel, proficiency in English not only enhances communication but also serves as a gateway to a myriad of possibilities.
