GROUP COURSES
HOW IT WORKS
The group courses last 6 months. Each semester you will book for a 48 hour pack, which totals 2 hours per week for 6 months. At the end of each semester you can choose to continue the course by booking another 48 hour pack or to stop the course.
The groups are no bigger than 5 students per class. This way we can maintain our promise to make the classes personal and student-centred, focusing on your specific needs, interests, and goals. We also aim at making the classes a space where you can form friendships and make study-buddies for life!
We offer different choices of time and levels so you can join the group that feels right for you! Before you book your classes, we ask you to fill out a form of a level test in order to determine which group you should join (you can always contact us if you have questions).
We offer group courses for English and Portuguese students of every level!

We mainly use Zoom video calls, Google Classroom, and the ExplainEverything interactive whiteboard. When you schedule a class with us you will receive explanatory documents that tell you how to use each of these programs so you don’t have to worry about it during your studies. But we are always open to changing the channels of communication and material according to the student’s needs.

No, the first class is charged along with the remaining of the course. However, you have a week to decide if you want to continue the course, if in the first week of the course you decide you do not want to continue you get a full refund.

The group courses have a set amount of classes per semester (48 classes, each class is one hour). Once you are done with the semester, you can decide if you want to enroll in the next group course or not. The number of semesters you will do depends on how you progress and on your goals.

The group courses are designed for students of the ages of 16 years-old and older.

No! You can take the classes even with no prior knowledge or experience in the subject. We will help you every step of the way!

The structure of the course will be different for every group. It depends a lot on the group's needs and goals. In the first class the educator will assess these needs and goals in order to come up with a plan of a specific structure that will better accommodate the students’ learning style and goals. Moreover, the educator will share the plan with the group and she will be open to changing and/or adding to the plan as per the group’s request throughout the course.

The group courses are not as flexible as the 1-on-1 classes, there are specific time slots you have to choose from and they will be fixed for the semester. However, if you or the group has a problem with the time throughout the course, this can be discussed with the educator. We are open to seek solutions together.

Yes, every material and resource used in the course will be provided by the educator!

The progress tracking and assessment is a decision that will be made between educator and group in the first class and that can be modified throughout the course. It will depend on the students’ needs, goals and wishes. However, the educator will make sure to let each student know of his/her progress throughout the courses via feedback of the practice exercises and projects they will work on.
